The Young Women’s Movement has a large archive collection spanning the 100 year history of the organisation. These collections are spread across different locations, including the National Library of Scotland which holds the majority of our archival materials.
The collections held are very diverse and include photographs, written documentation (minute books, diaries and correspondence), clothing and other objects including handmade dolls, The Young Women’s Movement reports and magazines. Here you can find a small collection of the materials, selected by YWR peer researchers. The photographs included in this image bank have been supplied by the National Library of Scotland and are part of the YWCA collections.
If you are interested in visiting the collections held at the National Library of Scotland, you can do so by visiting the National Library of Scotland online catalogue or via the following link https://auth.nls.uk/mss-request/.
