Emma Crawshaw

Emma Crawshaw

52, originally from Zimbabwe and currently residing in Edinburgh, Emma’s had a rich history with The Young Women’s Movement. She was a former volunteer and also spent time as a Volunteer Development Worker and a Roundabout Centre Manager.

She helped young women access education, community and experiences through the organisation and said The Young Women’s Movement played a crucial part in her success today. She also recounted her favorite memory as a trip to Belhaven and described the transition of the movement from a Christian organisation to a secular one.

In the future she hopes for continued inclusion of trans and nonbinary people and is thankful for the movement for giving women tools to self-actualise.
