Angela Melvin

Angela Melvin

50, originally from England and currently residing in Glasgow, Angela is an active Programmes Lead for The Young Women’s Movement with previous experience as a Building Women’s Capacity Officer.

During her fifteen years of employment with the Movement, she describes the shift to a united vision, mission and strategy as the largest change she’s witnessed within the organisation which helped centre the movement to prioritise the needs of young women.

Angela also reflected on the importance of having a physical space for the movement, illuminating its contribution in building self-confidence, autonomy and connection amongst members.
