Libby Smith

Libby Smith

47, originally from Glasgow and remains a local, Libby also has a rich history with The Young Women’s Movement. She is the active Business and Finance Coordinator and has spent time as a Volunteer Manager, Health and Safety Officer, Internal IT Support, Facilitator and a PA to the Coordinator.

She helped organise the first refugee convention and was involved in programs such as Empowering Pathways and Y Equality. She credited the movement for helping her develop facilitation skills, building community and improving her versatility.

She described The Young Women’s Movement as a feminist organisation that focused on providing opportunities for young women and building their self-confidence.
