52, originally from Zimbabwe and currently residing in Edinburgh, Emma’s had a rich history with The Young Women’s Movement. She was a former volunteer and also spent time as a Volunteer Development Worker and as a manager at the Roundabout Centre.

She helped young women access education, community and experiences through the organisation and attributes The Young Women’s Movement to her success today. She also recounted the transition of the movement from a Christian organisation to a secular one.

In the future she hopes for continued inclusion of trans and nonbinary people and is thankful for the movement for giving women tools to self-actualise.
