35, originally from Edinburgh and remaining local, Elena is an active Partnership and Events Lead for The Young Women’s Movement and was a driving force in the success of the Young Women Lead project. She also appeared on the 30 under 30 list and helped produce a report evaluating sexual harassment in Scottish schools.

She explained that The Young Women’s Movement reinstilled in her the importance of sticking to your values and has been crucial for her self development and growth. She also highlighted the current challenges and pressures of young women today and the significance of having a safe space to make change.
