Briana Pegado

Briana Pegado

33, originally from the United States and currently residing in Edinburgh, Briana was the youngest and first black Chair of the Board and Interim CEO for The Young Women’s Movement. She appeared on the 30 under 30 list and played an active role in several community-based projects such as Feminist Fest, Women of the World Fest and In Her Shoes.

One of her favorite memories within the movement comes from orchestrating a feminist retreat for women working in gender-based violence sectors. Lastly, she recounts facing challenges but affirms that she is forever changed as a result of The Young Women’s Movement.
