We run a range of events across Scotland for young women and girls, our partners, and stakeholders.

Our events are influenced by our programmes and research. We work with young women and girls to co-design events that meet their wants and needs.

The Big Give: Fundraising quiz

We’re raising money through The Big Give to help us deliver our Girls With Goals project, which equips girls aged 14–18 with the skills and strategies to recognise and challenge discriminatory behaviour and attitudes. Every penny donated from 8–15th October up to £2,500 will be matched! Test your knowledge and enjoy some food and drinks with us while raising money for a good cause! Bring a team, or come by yourself and join a team on the night. Tickets cost £10, which will be matched by The Big Give to double your fundraising impact. The £10 ticket entry can be paid in advance or at the event.

Young Women Thrive: The science of skin colour

Join The Young Women’s Movement and Glasgow Science Centre for a STEM workshop on the Science of Skin Colour. This workshop will explore the science, evolution, and stories that shape our differences and similarities. You’ll also have the opportunity to extract DNA from a strawberry! Young Women Thrive is a series of wellbeing focused workshops targeted at young women to share experiences, learn skills and create positive change. This series is funded by the Glasgow Wellbeing Fund.

Book Week Scotland: Friendship, resistance and poetry

Join award-winning writer Nadine Aisha Jassat for an engaging creative writing workshop as part of Book Week Scotland. We’ll be exploring this year’s theme of friendship, and thinking about how we’d reimagine Scotland for young women and girls – the Scotland we’d like to live in, and the communities and friendships that are intrinsic to social change.
