Pronouns: she/her

A young woman sits on an outdoor metal staircase and smiles at the camera. She has mid length brown hair and is wearing a white top and grey trousers.

Morgan Hastie is a Glasgow-based graphic designer, illustrator and Adobe partner who built an internationally recognised design business while still studying for her BA (Hons) in Graphic Design at Glasgow Clyde College. Her branding, packaging and illustration work spans clients including UNIQLO, Aardman, First Bus, Made Brave and GF Smith.

She was awarded Young Designer of the Year at the Scottish Design Awards 2026. In 2025 she won the NXT-GEN award at the Pentawards, one of packaging design’s most respected honours, and placed second overall in the concept category at the Dieline Awards. She has since been a Pipeline judge at the Pentawards 2026.

Morgan is a familiar voice in the creative community. She has spoken at POV! Edinburgh, the Scottish Creative Network and Curio PechaKucha, and streamed live as a speaker at Adobe MAX in Los Angeles, one of the world’s biggest creative conferences.

But the work she’s proudest of is Doorways. Morgan kept hearing the same thing from creative students across Scotland: they were finishing their studies feeling underprepared and unsure where to start in the creative industry. So, in her final year she conceived, designed and delivered the careers event she wished had existed when she was starting out. With Adobe’s support, the first event sold out in two days, and an online edition is in the works.

She also works with the Chamber of Commerce to show young, working-class people routes into the industry, runs self-promotion and freelancing workshops at universities and colleges, and mentors emerging creatives through the Adobe Creative Apprenticeship. In a field where young women are still underrepresented at the top, she uses her own story to show students they don’t need to wait for permission, for graduation, or for someone to open the door before they start building their career.
