Francesca Sophia Muñoz Caparo works across grassroots, national and international spaces to advance justice, accessibility and inclusive systemic change. Her work is centred on amplifying underrepresented voices and strengthening relationships between communities and the institutions that serve them.
A passionate advocate for social justice, Francesca has contributed to campaigns, movements, international conferences and United Nations forums, helping shape discussions on sustainability, equity and global citizenship. As a member of the Diaspora Group for Global Citizenship, she brings an international perspective to conversations on inclusion, participation and social change, while remaining firmly grounded in local community realities.
Across Scotland, Francesca serves as Social Enterprise Project Manager for the Latin American Community Association of Edinburgh (LACAE) and Co-Convenor of the Mamie Martin Fund. She also supports the Edinburgh Refugee Sponsorship Circle, the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers community and RESULTS UK. This year she led Everyone’s Vote Matters Scotland, promoting democratic participation and accessibility across the nation.
In her work and volunteering, Francesca is committed to building bridges between communities, decision-makers and institutions. Drawing on experience in community engagement and participation, including her current role with the Anti-Racism Observatory for Scotland, she works to ensure that lived experience shapes systemic change. Through her leadership across multiple organisations and movements, she continues to champion a more inclusive, accessible and equitable society where communities co-design a better future.
