Designed to introduce young women to the exciting worlds of music photography and filmmaking, participants will gain hands-on experience using professional creative techniques, learn how to capture compelling visual content, and explore the production roles that make the music industry thrive.

Working alongside experienced creatives, attendees will develop confidence behind the camera, experiment with storytelling through images and film, and gain insight into career pathways within the creative industries.

Whether you’re curious about photography, filmmaking, or simply want to explore a new creative career, this workshop is the perfect opportunity to get hands-on, ask questions, and take your first steps into the world behind the scenes.

Young Women Thrive is an event series aimed at young women (including transgender women) and non-binary people aged 16-24. It is funded through the Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund for Adults administered by Third Sector Dumfries and Galloway.
