Get ready for a lively discussion with Deborah Frances White and friends about stopping the Road to Gilead – is the UK on a slippery slope?
The Guilty Feminist presents: The Road to Gilead, An Open Space discussion day
Stop feeling helpless and join the national conversation! A day of discussion, ideas and plans for activism to create a more empathetic society with The Guilty Feminist Podcast.
A continuation of some of the discussions presented in recent The Guilt Feminist Podcast Episodes: The Road to Gilead
We will join Deborah Frances-White (The Guilty Feminist Podcast, writer, presenter and comedian) and special guest speakers via video link, then the space will be opened for all attendees to share ideas and actions for change.
This will be an ‘Open Space’ style event – this means those present get to set the agenda for what is discussed, everyone has a chance to talk about issues close to them or can simply listen to others.
The Road to Gilead in the UK is not inevitable, together, we can turn things around!
Sitting at home, worrying alone won’t change anything.
This is your invitation to be heard, collaborate, and reimagine what’s possible.
The Edinburgh satellite discussion is organised by The Young Women’s Movement, The David Hume Institute and volunteers. To keep costs down we are asking you to bring your own lunch but teas and coffees will be provided. We would gratefully ask you to make a donation to help us cover the cost of the venue hire.
