Tamara Rogovic is an Edinburgh-based multidisciplinary artist, advocate, and educator whose work bridges contemporary art, science, and social justice.
Her practice is shaped by interest in symbiotic relationships between science and art, exploring how humans relate to the land, each other, and the universe through rituals, myths, and labour. Engaging with discourses in space exploration and cosmology, she examines how outer space is socially produced and imagined, reflecting on its meaning for terrestrial life and ethical governance.
Tamara is serving as President of the Scottish Artists Union, having previously held positions as Vice President and Fair Work Representative. She is a member of sector-wide committees and working groups, shaping and advocating for feminist and intersectional cultural policy and contributing to strategic initiatives and national frameworks that advance fair work, equity, and sustainability in the arts.
Tamara is committed to advancing gender justice and engaging in global initiatives to combat gender-based violence.
An active educator, she designs socially engaged art programmes, training, and resources that use creative practice as a tool for reflection, resilience, and collective imagination.
A former child prodigy, Tamara began university studies in fine art at fourteen and, at twenty, became the youngest person globally to earn a Master of Fine Art degree from the University of Edinburgh. She has exhibited internationally, received multiple awards, and was granted a UK Visa for Exceptional Talent in recognition of her achievements.
