Research and policy
Research & Policy
We run Scotland’s first and only young women led research and policy hub.
Our research and policy work is shaped and informed by young women and girls. We want to make sure their experiences and expertise are heard, valued and understood.
This work is explicitly feminist and participatory – we exist for young women and are led by young women. We co-design our research and policy work with young women from concept to delivery. We conduct this work with an intersectional lens, seeking to centre the voices of those at the greatest risk of systemic discrimination. By taking part, young women can:
- shift public perception
- gain commitments from local government to implement changes and recommendations
- influence policy and legislative changes in Parliament
- build meaningful understanding and awareness around their unique experiences.
What we do
We are currently working on publishing our Insight Bank, a unique resource collecting over ten years of quantitative and qualitative data from young women across Scotland.
