Robyn is currently the Training and Engagement Officer for GEMAP’s Financially Included project, where she is developing training for money advisers on economic abuse.

She works in partnership with organisations in both the money advice and violence against women sectors to bring together best practice approaches to improve outcomes for victim-survivors and improve responses to economic abuse.
She has used her social media platforms to advocate for gender equality, LGBT+ inclusion and refugee rights as well as sharing her own experience of rediscovering herself after leaving a controlling relationship in her mid-20s.

Robyn is a qualified social worker and spent the first 4 years of her career working with refugees across Glasgow. She is engaged in promoting diversity in social work education and has given guest lectures and panel talks exploring the role of the third sector in promoting social justice. She sits on YWCA Scotland’s advisory panel and has spoken on The Guilty Feminist and Charity Chat podcasts discussing her work on refugee rights and economic abuse respectively.
