YEquality

YEquality

YEquality is a five-week youth work programme that can be delivered to young people aged 10-11 (primary 7) of all genders in schools and youth groups across Scotland

This programme fundamentally explores and enables young people to consider how we can all become ‘Equality Champions’.

Throughout the programme our youth workers and the young people work as a group to:

  • discuss what equality means through a feminist lens
  • explore and challenge gender stereotypes
  • raise awareness of inequalities
  • discuss leadership skills
  • share useful tools that can be implemented when transitioning into high school

Our YEquality sessions are delivered by expert facilitators and cover the following topics:

  1. Gender-equality
  2. Online safety
  3. Body image & self esteem
  4. Leadership
  5. Next steps

Young people will be provided with a YEquality branded notepad, badge and certificate when participating in the programme.

We have a limited number of fully funded YEquality programmes each year that are reserved for youth groups and schools. The programme is also available as a paid programme if our current funded spaces are already allocated.
