Samar Ziadat is the co-founder of the online zine and art Festival Dardishi, which aims to promote Arab and North African womxn’s art. She is highly involved in Glasgow’s art community as a freelance curator, taking up roles her roles at Glasgow Zine Library, Transmission Gallery, and the Scottish Queer International Film Festival.

Samar is currently directing Dardishi Festival, which will showcase the work of Arab and North African womxn’s art on March 8 – 10th at CCA Glasgow. Unfunded and volunteer-run, there is a Gofundme in order to cover the costs of the Festival. And great news, the very first print issue of Dardishi zine will be launched at the Festival too.
