Eva is a 17-year-old social activist focused on anti-bullying, youth mental health and youth advocacy. She was part of respectme’s Youth Action Group, co-producing a Scotland-wide 2-year long anti-bullying campaign ‘Listen Up Respect our Rights’ putting children’s rights at the heart of the conversation. She created an animation, recorded podcasts, addressed webinars, spoke on national news and met Scottish Government Education Ministers.

Eva also volunteers with Generation Scotland. She’s been instrumental in designing the ‘Youth Loneliness in the Digital World’ research study for which Eva was awarded a Participative Democracy Certificate. She helped design their app and its functionality. She presented at health conferences and on stv news about the importance of meaningful youth participation in research and helped simplify the sign-up process for teens.

Eva became an #iwill Ambassador in 2023 and works with #iwill to ensure young people are heard and respected. For #iwill week 2023 she planned activities, created a 10th anniversary animation first shown in the UK Westminster Parliament and did a social media takeover.

She volunteers with SAMH, advising on issues facing young people in Scotland and discussing provision of better youth mental health support. She met the First Minister to discuss Youth Mental Health and has advised the SAMH trustee board on the starting of a new youth mental health campaign. Eva was introduced to the charity Versus Arthritis by her rheumatologist. Initially they helped and supported Eva, she now helps raise awareness and support this charity, creating impactful resources with other young members for an Instagram takeover to promote an art exhibition the charity hosted, for WORD Day and blogged about living with a chronic health condition.

Eva volunteers with other organisations such as the Electoral Commission’s Youth Voice Network, the Ehlers Danlos Society, Young Minds Blogger Pool, and the NHS 24 youth forum.
