Abi is a geographer and ecologist at NatureScot currently working on how Scotland will roll out Nature Networks and reach 30% of land protected for nature by 2030. She is driven by a passion for bringing together solutions to the dual crises of biodiversity loss and the climate emergency and has a particular interest in making climate action and conservation work more accessible to seldom-heard folk.

She is also an Operational Volunteer for the youth-led 2050 Climate Group, designing and delivering the charity’s flagship Young Leaders Development Programme empowering and equipping young people to be climate leaders. She is also a Trustee and Non-Executive director of one of Scotland’s largest environment charities, Changeworks, leading in decarbonising the home and tackling fuel poverty, becoming their youngest Trustee yet.
