The Bill has been brought forward partly in response to concerns about “period poverty” – difficulty in being able to afford period products.

In 2019 we responded to the consultation on the Period Products (Free Provision) (Scotland) Bill. Our response was based on the Young Women Lead 2018–19 report on the participation of young women and girls in sport.
