Take part in Young Women Teach

Young Women Teach is a skill sharing programme where you will develop confidence in facilitating and delivering training. Supported by a group of trainers you will build skills, learn from each other and have opportunities to practice facilitation in a safe, inclusive and supportive environment.

Young Women Thrive: Stained Glass Workshop

Hosted by Creative Rural Arts Scotland, an engaging stained glass workshop, where you will spend the afternoon immersed in the traditional art of crafting stained glass panels. By the end of the workshop, you will have completed your own small stained glass panel to take home!

Wiktoria, Aimee and Molly

Wiktoria Orlika, from Wishaw, is currently an Events Volunteer for the Young Women’s Movement. Wiktoria joined the Young Women’s Movement in 2022 as a member of the Advisory Panel, now known as the Advisory Collective.  Amy Wallace, from Auchterarder, is currently a member of the Advisory Collective. Amy joined the Young Women’s Movement in 2022 as a member of the Bold Girls Ken campaign.  Molly Brown, former resident of Edinburgh and Trustee of the Young Women’s Movement 2017-2023, serving as Treasurer of the board.

Carly Elliott-Scott

Carly Elliott-Scott, originally from Glasgow, is currently a Trustee and Vice Chair of the Young Women’s Movement. Carly started following the Young Women’s Movement as a member in 2013 before becoming a Trustee in 2023. In her role as a Trustee, Carly brings her expertise in policy and strategic influencing to the Board.

Christina Sinclair

Christina Sinclair, 38, from Huntly, is a current Trustee of the Young Women’s Movement. Christina became a Trustee of the Movement in 2024 and brings her experience of being a young woman in leadership within the Heritage sector, to the Board.

Jenni Snell

Jenni Snell, 34, originally from Lanark, is the current CEO of the Young Women’s Movement. Jenni joined the Movement in 2018 as a participant on Young Women Lead and four years later became CEO of the Young Women’s Movement in 2022. Jenni reflects on the ‘surreal’ nature of her whirlwind 4 year transition from a participant on Young Women Lead to becoming CEO of the Movement aged 29. Reflecting on her four years in post as CEO, Jenni shares her ups and downs whilst maintaining the privilege it has been to be leading The Young Women’s Movement through a pivotal period in the organisation’s history.
