Nicola McLachlan is a feminist, and an architect with a passion for socially sustainable architecture.

he lives of people and how we successfully cohabit and communicate in the built environment are really important to Nicola. She strives to ensure that communities feel empowered to have a voice in the future of our built environment.

Nicola considers herself an outspoken young woman who has achieved goals that were considered outside her societal, gender and class expectations. She puts this largely down to being brought up surrounded by women who voiced their opinions (loudly) and always made her feel she could achieve anything. Her advice to young women would be to take chances and never pass on opportunities; your only true regrets are the things you don’t attempt to do.
