Michaela Collins has been on her journey with the children’s charity Possibilities for Each and Every Kid (PEEK) since she was nine years old. PEEK’s mission is to support children and young people aged 0-25 years and to ‘unlock their potential and journey alongside them as they PLAY,CREATE and THRIVE.’

When she was 14, Michaela began volunteering for PEEK and then gained an apprenticeship with them after leaving school. Now, she is is a champion for children’s rights and ensures that children have safe places to play.

“At 15 I left school with no aspirations or ideas on what I wanted to do with my life. At 16, PEEK offered me an apprenticeship and I’ve been there ever since. My roles over the years have changed as PEEK developed and expanded across Glasgow.”

She is currently the chair of Spirit of 2012 Youth Advisory Panel and board member, supporting Spirit of 2012 to invest funding into projects across the UK.
