At just 18 Katie is already an amazing campaigner for the rights of young women.

As a Guide leader she supports girls aged 10-14 to feel empowered and confident, and as a Girlguiding Advocate she has been involved in a number of national campaigns that aimed to tackle issues affecting girls and young women – sexual harassment in schools, body image, and mental health among others.

Katie also sits on the First Minister’s National Advisory Council for Women and Girls, representing the views of Girlguiding Scotland’s 50,000 young members, on what’s needed to address gender inequality in Scotland
