Isla MacLean is a nurse and stand-up comedian who wrote her first show after sadly losing her husband to cancer at 24 years old.

Instead of letting her experiences fester inside her, she took to the stage to share her story, helping to raise money for the charities that supported her through this difficult time, and showing the world that its okay to ‘find the funny’ in tragedy.

She also co-runs Bitch Night, a monthly variety night based in Edinburgh, celebrating the very best of female talent across the UK and beyond.
